Description
Reclaimed Teak Wood
Using reclaimed wood decreases the demand for newly-harvested virgin wood from forests. This helps curb deforestation. It also reduces landfill waste, as well as giving the discarded woods a new life. It’s a win for everyone. Due to the nature of reclaimed wood, each piece has its own unique characters. No two pieces are ever exactly the same in terms of color, shade, texture and grain. Our lovely brushes are also non toxic. We do not spray our brushes with toxic chemicals to preserve its life. Mainstream brushes are made of hardwood such as maple that need to be preserved so toxic chemicals are sprayed to preserve them. Teak wood has a natural built in preservative. It is one of the few woods in the world containing a natural oil which repels water, keeping it from warping, cracking or becoming brittle. Teak’s natural oil also repels insects, making the wood extremely resistant to pest damage.
Plant Bristles
Handcrafted with medium-firm plant-based bristles made from coconut husks that won’t break or hurt the skin. Dry brushes today are made of synthetic bristles on brushes. The most commonly found are made out of low frequency and toxic material, such as wire, nylon, polyester, or a combination of these materials. Brushes are also made out of animal hair such as pig, horse, and squirrel fur. Golden Teak is Pure Creation made of coconut hair bristles which are naturally anti-microbial. When it comes to the bristles.. Always plant based.. A pig, horses and squirrels are not only extremely horrible for our health when consumed. Their hair and dander are inducers of allergies.
